Fruitask Calendar: Your Ultimate Scheduling Solution
In today’s fast-paced world, managing your time efficiently is crucial. The Fruitask Calendar offers a full-featured scheduling experience for events, meetings, reminders, and public booking. It is seamlessly integrated into your workspace and is shareable with your team, providing an efficient way to streamline your scheduling needs.
Overview of the Fruitask Calendar
The Fruitask Calendar allows you to create and manage events through day, week, and month views. Whether you are planning a one-off event or a series of recurring meetings, the calendar can accommodate your scheduling requirements. It allows for reminders, attendee management, online meetings, and the option to accept public bookings from individuals outside your workspace. You can customize the visibility of your calendars—keeping them private, sharing them with colleagues, or connecting them to external calendars for enhanced integration.
Key Capabilities
Events
- Create events with a title, description, location, date/time, and color.
- Choose between all-day events or timed events with specific start and end times.
- Optionally attach up to four media files per event. This can include images, GIFs, or videos, which will appear as cards in the calendar view.
- Category features allow you to group and color-code events (e.g., Meeting, Personal).
- Adjust visibility settings to define if an event is public, private, or busy.
- Link your events to a Fruitask Note for additional context.
Recurrence
- Set events to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, with customizable intervals (e.g., every 2 weeks).
- Weekly events can target specific days of the week.
- End a repeating series on a specific date or after a predetermined number of occurrences.
- Easily cancel or reinstate a single occurrence without impacting the entire series.
Reminders & Attendees
- Add reminders to notify you minutes before an event, via notifications, email, or both.
- Invite attendees through email or select from your workspace collaborators. Attendees can respond with Accepted, Declined, or Tentative, and the organizer is tracked automatically.
Online Meetings
- Enable the online meeting feature to automatically generate a Fruitask Meet link or attach a link from your preferred online meeting provider (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Public Booking
- Transform your calendar into a public booking page allowing others to self-schedule into your available time slots.
- Set parameters like available hours, buffer time, daily booking limits, and weekend rules to tailor booking to your preferences.
- Collect booker details and custom intake questions; bookings are displayed as events you can confirm, cancel, or complete.
Sharing & Syncing
- Share calendars with collaborators, assigning roles as Viewer, Editor, or Admin.
- Import events from an .ics/iCalendar file for easy transition.
- Connect to Google Calendar for synchronization of events across platforms.
- Events are timezone aware, ensuring correct display times across regions.
Where to Find Fruitask Calendar
Access the Calendar feature directly from the workspace navigation. Use the view switcher for Day, Week, or Month views, and create events by clicking on a time slot or using the “New Event” action. Click on any event to view or edit its details.
Requirements & Access
- To use the Fruitask Calendar, users must be signed in and part of the workspace that owns the calendar.
- Creating or editing events requires Editor or Admin access, while Viewers can only see events without any changes.
- Public booking pages and shared calendars can be accessed by external guests through their direct link.
Limits & Notes
- Cover media is limited to four files per event, with each file up to 50 MB. Supported formats include images, GIFs, and videos.
- Cover files save to your Fruitask account storage.
- Ensure an event’s end time is after its start time to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Reminder emails require email delivery settings to be configured properly for the calendar/workspace.
Tips for Optimal Use
- Utilize categories and colors to make your busy calendar easily scannable.
- Adding a cover image to significant events can help them stand out in your calendar.
