Fruitask Calendar
A full-featured scheduling calendar for events, meetings, reminders, and public booking — built into your workspace and shareable with your team.
Overview
Fruitask Calendar lets you create and manage events across day, week, and month views. Events can be one-off or recurring, carry reminders and attendees, host online meetings, and even accept public bookings from people outside your workspace. Calendars can be kept private, shared with collaborators, or connected to external calendars.
Key Capabilities
Events
- Create events with a title, description, location, date/time, and color.
- All-day events or timed events with start/end times.
- Image cover (optional): attach up to 4 cover media files per event — images, GIFs, or videos — by uploading them or pasting a link. Events with a cover show as a card with the image in the calendar. (Each file may be up to 50 MB.)
- Categories to group and color-code events (e.g., Meeting, Personal), including categories shared from other calendars.
- Visibility settings: public, private, or busy.
- Link an event to a Fruitask Note for richer context.
Recurrence
- Repeat events daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, with a custom interval (e.g., every 2 weeks).
- Weekly events can target specific days of the week.
- End a series on a date or after a set number of occurrences.
- Cancel or reinstate a single occurrence without affecting the rest of the series.
Reminders & Attendees
- Add reminders that fire a set number of minutes before the event, delivered as a notification, an email, or both.
- Invite attendees by email or pick workspace collaborators; attendees can respond (Accepted / Declined / Tentative). The organizer is tracked automatically.
Online Meetings
- Toggle online meeting on an event to auto-generate a Fruitask Meet link, or attach a link from another provider (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, or a custom URL).
Public Booking
- Turn a calendar into a public booking page so people can self-schedule into available time slots, with options like available hours, buffer time, daily booking limits, and weekend rules.
- Collect booker details and custom intake questions; bookings appear as events you can confirm, cancel, or complete.
Sharing & Sync
- Share calendars with collaborators as Viewer, Editor, or Admin.
- Import events from an .ics/iCalendar file.
- Optional Google Calendar connection for syncing events.
- Timezone-aware: events store a timezone so times display correctly across regions.
Where to Find It
Open Calendar from the workspace navigation. Use the view switcher for Day / Week / Month, click a time slot or the “New event” action to create, and click any event to view or edit it.
Requirements & Access
- You must be signed in and a member of the workspace that owns the calendar.
- Creating/editing events requires Editor or Admin access on that calendar; Viewers can see events but not change them.
- Public booking pages and shared calendars are accessible to outside guests via their link.
Limits & Notes
- Cover media: up to 4 files per event, 50 MB each; only images, GIFs, and videos are accepted.
- Cover files are saved to your account storage (see Fruitask Storage).
- An event’s end time must be after its start time.
- Reminder emails require email delivery to be configured for the calendar/workspace.
Tips
- Use categories + colors to make a busy calendar scannable at a glance.
- Add a cover image to important events (launches, webinars) so they stand out as cards.
- For client scheduling, publish a booking page instead of emailing back-and-forth.
