Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Fruitask

Last updated: September 21, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Fruitask ("we," "our," or "us"). Fruitask is a modern project management and collaboration platform that enables teams to organize, track, and manage their work in real-time. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

Fruitask provides features including but not limited to: real-time collaborative workspaces, customizable tables with 20+ data types, file attachments, team collaboration tools, folder organization, notifications, and API access.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service. We may modify these Terms prospectively, with reasonable notice of material changes as described in Section 15. Changes to these Terms will not retroactively convert or reduce the included scope of a validly purchased Lifetime Access License, except where required by law, necessary to address security or abuse, or agreed to by you.

2. Account Registration

To use Fruitask, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

3. Lifetime Access License, Pricing & Paid Services

One-Time License Commitment

If you purchase a Fruitask Lifetime Access License, you will not be required to pay a recurring license or per-seat fee to retain the access expressly included in that purchase, provided your account remains active and in good standing and the Fruitask service continues to be operated.

3.1 License Grant and Ownership

After successful payment, we grant the purchasing account a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the included hosted Fruitask functionality for the operational lifetime of the Fruitask product, subject to these Terms. The license:

  • belongs to the purchasing account and is not sold, sublicensed, or transferred without our written approval;
  • covers workspaces owned by that licensed account, subject to technical, security, and fair-use limits;
  • allows the owner to invite collaborators without requiring a separate lifetime license from each collaborator;
  • does not give collaborators an independent license or the right to create additional licensed owner accounts; and
  • does not transfer ownership of the Fruitask software, source code, trademarks, infrastructure, or intellectual property.

“Lifetime” refers to the period during which we continue to operate and make the applicable Fruitask hosted product generally available. It does not mean the natural lifetime of the purchaser, guaranteed perpetual operation, or an obligation to maintain every integration, device platform, or individual feature indefinitely.

3.2 What Lifetime Access Includes

The license includes access to the core features identified as included on the offer and checkout pages at the time of purchase, together with generally released maintenance, security fixes, and core product updates made available to lifetime-license holders. Access to an AI feature means access to the feature's interface and workflows; the provider computation, tokens, credits, or other metered consumption used to run it may be charged separately as described below.

We may improve, redesign, rename, replace, consolidate, or discontinue particular functionality for security, legal, technical, third-party dependency, or product reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will avoid materially reducing the overall core value of the purchased license solely to require the purchaser to buy the same access again.

3.3 Services and Features That May Cost Extra

A Lifetime Access License is not a lifetime supply of third-party services or metered computing resources. We may charge separately for:

  • optional AI-credit, storage, capacity, bandwidth, messaging, media-generation, or other usage top-ups;
  • fees charged directly by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, storage providers, or other third parties when you bring your own credentials;
  • custom branding, custom domains, dedicated infrastructure, enterprise SSO, tailored modules, migration, consulting, and deployment services;
  • new stand-alone products, premium modules, or materially distinct future capabilities that were not included in the offer at the time of purchase; and
  • taxes, currency conversion, payment-provider charges, or legally required fees disclosed at checkout.

Any additional Fruitask fee will be disclosed before purchase or activation and requires your affirmative consent. Declining an optional paid service will not cancel the lifetime access already purchased. We will not convert the included lifetime license into a mandatory recurring subscription.

3.4 Future Price and Offer Changes

We may change the price, contents, engagement-based eligibility criteria, or availability of future license offers. Those changes apply prospectively and do not require a purchaser to repay for the included lifetime access already validly purchased. Promotional pricing and founding offers may end at any time before purchase.

3.5 Refunds, Reversals, and Consumer Rights

Refund requests are handled under the policy presented at checkout, the applicable payment provider's procedures, and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived, including remedies for a defective service, failure to conform to an express warranty, or a misleading representation. If a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, fraudulent, or otherwise not successfully settled, we may deactivate the associated license after appropriate review and notice where required.

3.6 Suspension and Termination

A lifetime license does not prevent suspension or termination for fraud, unlawful conduct, abusive use, security threats, material breach of these Terms, or voluntary account deletion. When reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a non-urgent breach. Any suspension or termination remains subject to applicable consumer law.

4. Third-Party Integrations & External Services

Bring Your Own Credentials

Certain features may integrate with third-party services. You can provide your own API keys, credentials, and storage solutions to maintain full cost control.

4.1 External API Keys & Credentials

Some Fruitask features may require or optionally support connections to external services, including but not limited to:

  • File Storage: Third-party storage providers (e.g., cloud storage APIs) for file attachments
  • AI Features: External AI/ML services for smart features (if implemented)
  • Email Services: SMTP providers for notifications
  • Authentication: OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, etc.)
  • Social Publishing: Platforms you connect to publish content from automations (e.g., TikTok, Facebook Pages, Instagram, YouTube, WordPress)
  • Webhooks & Integrations: Custom API endpoints and automation services

4.2 Your Responsibility for External Services

When you provide your own credentials or API keys, you acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for any costs incurred with third-party providers
  • You must comply with the third-party's terms of service
  • API keys are stored securely but you should use keys with minimal required permissions
  • You are responsible for managing rate limits and quotas with external providers
  • We are not liable for third-party service outages, data loss, or billing disputes
  • You may revoke or rotate credentials at any time through your account settings

4.3 Cost Control

By using your own external credentials, you maintain full control over:

  • Storage limits and costs for file attachments
  • API call quotas and associated fees
  • Bandwidth and data transfer costs
  • Feature access based on your plan with the third-party provider

We recommend setting up billing alerts and usage limits with your external service providers to avoid unexpected charges.

4.4 Connected Social Platforms & Platform Policies

Fruitask automations can publish content to platforms you connect, such as TikTok, Facebook Pages, Instagram, YouTube, and WordPress. These connections are optional and act strictly on your instruction. By connecting an account and configuring an automation, you agree that:

  • You have the right and authority to post to that account, Page, or channel, and you hold all necessary rights to the content you publish (including music, footage, images, and any third-party material).
  • You remain the author and publisher of that content. Fruitask acts only as a technical conduit that transmits it at your direction; we do not review, endorse, or moderate it before it is sent.
  • You will comply with each destination platform's terms, developer policies, and community guidelines — including TikTok's Terms and Community Guidelines, and Meta's Terms.
  • Automated or bulk posting must not be used for spam, misleading or deceptive content, impersonation, or any other activity a platform prohibits. Violations may result in that platform suspending your account, which is outside our control.
  • Platforms may change, restrict, deprecate, or revoke API access at any time — including requiring app review or audit before certain capabilities (such as direct publishing) are available. Features may therefore stop working, be limited, or be removed without notice, and we are not liable for such changes.
  • Publishing outcomes — approval, rejection, reach, moderation, takedowns, or delays — are determined solely by the destination platform.
  • You may disconnect any platform at any time from your automation or account settings, which removes the stored credentials for that connection.

How we handle the data and tokens received from these platforms — including our Limited Use commitments and our commitment not to use such data to train AI/ML models — is described in our Privacy Policy.

4.5 FruitMail & Connected Mailboxes

FruitMail can connect to Google Workspace/Gmail, Microsoft 365/Outlook, custom IMAP/SMTP, or a Fruitask-hosted Stalwart mailbox. By connecting or using a mailbox, you agree that:

  • You own the mailbox or have authority from its owner or administrator to connect it and authorize the requested access.
  • Fruitask may retrieve, display and transmit mailbox data and perform actions you request, including sending, moving, starring and deleting messages. Those actions may modify the authoritative mailbox at the provider.
  • You are responsible for your recipients, message content, mailing practices, consent and compliance with anti-spam, privacy, employment, marketing and communications laws that apply to you.
  • You will not use FruitMail for phishing, impersonation, malware, credential theft, unlawful surveillance or unsolicited bulk messaging.
  • If you enable open tracking for a message, you are responsible for determining whether notice, consent or another lawful basis is required for the recipient. Open signals can be affected by proxies, scanners and blocked images and are not proof that a person read the message.
  • Email delivery, inbox placement, spam classification, sender branding, BIMI display, synchronization and provider availability are not guaranteed.
  • Providers may impose quotas, revoke permissions, delay delivery or change their APIs. Fruitask is not responsible for provider-side outages, moderation, data loss or charges outside our control.
  • Disconnecting removes Fruitask's local connection records but does not delete provider-hosted messages. You may need to revoke Fruitask separately in your provider's security settings.

5. AI & Third-Party Provider Accountability

AI Output Is Not Guaranteed

Some Fruitask features are powered by third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI services. AI can make mistakes, produce inaccurate or biased results, and should be independently verified before you rely on it.

5.1 Third-Party AI Providers

Certain features (such as text generation, summarization, smart suggestions, knowledge-base chat, and automation actions) are delivered through independent third-party providers, including but not limited to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), and Anthropic (Claude). These providers operate their own models and infrastructure and are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.

5.2 Accountability for Performance, Errors & Results

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The accuracy, quality, performance, and availability of AI output is the responsibility of the respective AI provider, not Fruitask.
  • AI models may hallucinate, generate incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information, or produce results that are unsuitable for your purpose.
  • Provider-side outages, latency, rate limits, model changes, or deprecations are outside our control and are the provider's responsibility.
  • Fruitask acts only as an interface that relays your prompts/data to, and displays results from, these providers — we do not author, validate, or warrant the output.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before using it, especially for legal, financial, medical, or other consequential decisions.
  • When you supply your own AI provider API key (Bring Your Own Credentials), your use is additionally governed by that provider's terms, and any associated costs are yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fruitask is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on AI-generated output or from third-party AI provider performance, mistakes, or results.

5.3 Data Sent to AI Providers & Model Training

When you invoke an AI feature, the content required for that request is transmitted to the relevant AI provider for processing. You agree that:

  • Fruitask does not use your content to train, improve, or fine-tune any AI/ML model, and we access AI providers through business/API tiers that do not train on API-submitted data by default.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit the content you send to an AI provider, including any personal data, confidential information, or third-party material it contains.
  • Where you supply your own API key, requests run against your provider account and that account's data-retention and training settings govern. You are responsible for confirming that model training is opted out on that account — most major providers exclude API data from training by default, but some tiers (for example Google's free Gemini API tier) do not.
  • You should not submit sensitive, regulated, or export-controlled data to AI features unless you have verified that doing so is permitted under your own obligations and your provider's terms.

Full details of what is sent, how long providers retain it, and our Limited Use commitments are set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Assets, Icons & Licensing

Fruitask uses a combination of visual assets — including icons, illustrations, logos, and graphics sourced under different rights. These fall into the following categories:

  • Designed by Fruitask: Original assets created in-house. These are the intellectual property of Fruitask and may not be copied, extracted, or redistributed without written permission.
  • Free / open-license assets: Publicly available assets used under permissive or open licenses (e.g., MIT, CC0, or free-for-commercial-use terms). Rights remain with their original creators, and we use them in accordance with their licenses.
  • Premium / paid assets: Assets obtained under a paid license that grants Fruitask the right to use them within this product. This license does not transfer to you — you may not extract, resell, sublicense, or redistribute these assets.
  • Third-party brand marks: Logos and trademarks of third-party services (e.g., Google, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, YouTube, WordPress, Paddle, Unsplash, and others) belong to their respective owners and are used solely for identification and interoperability. Their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

You may not extract, scrape, repackage, or redistribute any assets from Fruitask except where an asset is explicitly made available for that purpose. If you believe an asset is used improperly, please contact us and we will review it promptly.

7. Technology Stack, Libraries & Open-Source

Fruitask is built on top of open-source software, frameworks, libraries, and packages, each of which is provided by its own authors and maintainers under its own license (such as MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD, and similar). This includes, among others, technologies for our web client, backend services, real-time communication, and data storage.

  • All rights, ownership, and credit for third-party libraries and packages remain with their original authors.
  • We use these components in compliance with their respective open-source licenses.
  • Such components are typically provided "as is" by their maintainers, without warranty; Fruitask is not responsible for upstream defects, vulnerabilities, or breaking changes, though we make reasonable efforts to keep dependencies maintained and patched.
  • Use of these technologies does not imply any endorsement of Fruitask by their authors.

A list of major third-party components and their licenses can be provided on request. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about how a component is used, please contact us.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Fruitask to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Upload, store, or share illegal, harmful, or objectionable content
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data without authorization
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or phishing attempts
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use the service for cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive activities
  • Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations, including content removal, account suspension, or termination.

9. User Content & Data

6.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or store on Fruitask ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your workspaces, tables, files, or data.

6.2 License to Fruitask

By using Fruitask, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Store, process, and display your content to provide the service
  • Create backups and redundant copies for reliability
  • Share content with collaborators you've authorized
  • Generate anonymized, aggregated analytics (no personal data)

6.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and ensuring you have the necessary rights to use, share, and store it. We do not pre-screen content but may remove content that violates these Terms.

6.4 Chat History Retention

Direct message conversations with no new messages for one year are automatically cleared from your view unless you turn off "Clear inactive chats after 1 year" in Chat settings. Once every participant's copy has been cleared, those messages and attachments uploaded only for that chat are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Save anything you need to keep before then. Workspace chats, files in your storage, notes and tables are not affected.

10. Collaboration & Sharing

Fruitask enables real-time collaboration. When you invite collaborators or share workspaces:

  • You are responsible for managing access permissions (Owner, Admin, Editor, Commenter, Viewer)
  • Collaborators may view, edit, or comment based on their assigned role
  • Shared content becomes visible to authorized collaborators
  • You can revoke access at any time through workspace settings
  • Workspace owners are responsible for their collaborators' compliance with these Terms

Public links or shared content may be accessible to anyone with the link. Use caution when sharing sensitive information.

11. API Usage

Fruitask provides a REST API for programmatic access. When using our API:

  • You must authenticate using valid API tokens
  • API tokens should be kept secure and not shared publicly
  • You agree to respect rate limits and fair usage policies
  • Automated access must not degrade service for other users
  • We may throttle or block excessive API usage
  • API tokens can be revoked at any time through account settings

We reserve the right to modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints with reasonable notice.

12. Intellectual Property

Fruitask and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • The Fruitask name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
  • You may not use our branding without written permission
  • The service design, code, and documentation are proprietary
  • Feedback and suggestions may be used without obligation to you

13. Disclaimers & Limitations

Important

Fruitask is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

10.1 No Warranty

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Results from the service will be accurate or reliable
  • The service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fruitask shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Third-party service failures or costs
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Errors in content or functionality

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will be revoked
  • Your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period
  • You can request data export before termination
  • Workspaces you own will be deleted (collaborators will lose access)

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms prospectively as the service, law, and business evolve. When we make a material change:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • We will provide reasonable advance notice by email, in-app notification, or another appropriate channel unless an urgent legal or security change requires earlier effect
  • We will identify the effective date of the revised Terms
  • Continued use after that effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law
  • If you disagree with a change, you may stop using the affected service and exercise any rights available under applicable law

A Terms update will not require an existing lifetime-license holder to begin paying a recurring fee for the access included in the original purchase. Separately priced future products and optional services remain governed by Section 3.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Fruitask shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
